Counseling Services at Emory & Henry College are available to help enrolled students manage the routine changes that will take place in their lives, as well as more difficult changes or challenges.
Depending on a student’s needs, students may meet individually with a counselor or participate in workshops and groups that focus on topics of stress management, assertiveness, appropriate expression of anger, grief, trauma, consultation, adjustment to change, substance abuse, and relationships.
Counseling is free and confidential. There is no cap on the number of sessions; however, services are primarily short-term. When necessary, Counseling Services may refer students to off campus resources.
Counselors in the PRC work diligently to provide a safe environment for all students. Counseling Services are LGBTQ-inclusive, welcoming and affirming.
Recovery is possible. Counselors in the PRC can help you identify risk vs. protective factors in your life and develop a plan of action.
