Lauren graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2012 with a bachelors degree in Sociology and Economics. During her time at Emory, she was also a member of the Honors Program and completed her thesis entitled, "Macro-level Gender Inequality and the International Division of Household Labor." In 2008, she travelled with the People to People Student Ambassadors Program to France, Italy, and Greece. She spent her final semester of college abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Lauren co-leads an Emory Abroad course that travels to Sweden and the Netherlands to study gender equality, environmental issues, and fair economic practices. She works closely with incoming international students and also advises students on study abroad opportunities.
