Olivia Chappelear grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from Emory & Henry College in May 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology. During her time at E&H, Olivia was active in the Theatre Department as well as her two Major Departments. Through the Psychology Department, Olivia had the pleasure of studying abroad for two weeks in the Czech Republic and Poland, and the honor of presenting her joint, award-winning research project titled: "The role of parental divorce in college students' well-being" with a fellow student at the annual Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA) Conference. Olivia was also an active member of the Delta Rho Delta social sorority and held several leadership positions.

After graduating, Olivia began her professional career at the Russell County (Virginia) Department of Social Services. Two years after graduating, Olivia has returned to her alma mater to help students find their place and reach their full potential at E&H.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys hiking the local trails and spending time outdoors in the beautiful region of Southwest Virginia.
