Holly has been working as the full-time serials and circulation assistant at Kelly Library since the summer of 2012 after receiving her B.A. from Mars Hill University. Although her love for libraries and books has always been strong, it wasn't until Holly did her undergraduate Bonner scholar work in public and K-12 library settings that she decided library science was the field she wanted to pursue a career in. Her volunteer experience also revealed to her that, while she loved public and elementary school libraries, she really wanted to be in an academic library setting. Shortly after graduation her sister, an '05 alum of Emory & Henry, encouraged her to take a chance and apply for an open position at Kelly Library.

After working for a year, Holly began her online education in 2013 through San Jose' State University's School of Information, studying for her Masters in Library and Information Science. After her first semester, she was invited to join the SJSU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi Honor's Society.
