Apply for Graduation

There are three graduation dates each year: May, August, and December.

Deadlines for receipt of this application are December 15 of the prior year for December graduates, May 15 of the prior year for May graduates, and September 15 of the prior year for summer graduates.

Late applications will be assessed an additional fee of $125.

You must apply for graduation on your Self Service account after you have met with your advisor and planned out your remaining coursework. If your graduation application has been audited and you have been denied graduation for the requested term, your degree audit will be deferred to the next term, unless the registrar is notified otherwise.

You can view your unofficial transcript and degree audit on Self Service to confirm that you have fulfilled all of your degree requirements. Upon successful completion of all outstanding course work and a final review of the degree requirements, you will be awarded your degree.

A graduation fee of $200.00 will be assessed to each student who applies to graduate. The fee will appear on the billing statement of the term in which the student is expected to graduate. This fee covers the cap and gown, diploma, diploma cover, and all activities and presentations related to commencement. Unlike many other institutions, Emory & Henry College students and alumni/ae are not charged for copies of academic transcripts, which the College considers covered by the graduation fee.
