Throughout its history, Emory & Henry College has been a residential campus.


Today, over 80 percent of all Emory & Henry College students live on campus. 

It wouldn’t be college without forms to complete. Make sure you submit all forms no later than December 1 for Spring Enrollment or July 1 for Fall Enrollment.

You will need to make sure your all enrollment forms are completed, as well as the residence forms below. 

  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1397-how-are-the-residence-halls-cleaned">How are the residence halls cleaned?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Emory & Henry College’s Facilities Management Department employs custodial staff assigned to regularly clean every residence hall on campus. Custodial staff are responsible for cleaning common areas with residence halls. The cleaning of residence hall rooms, private bathrooms, and suite-style bathrooms are the responsibility of each residential student. The cleaning of the townhouse apartments assigned to upperclassmen are entirely the responsibility of each residential student.</span></div></aside>

  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1392-can-i-paint-my-room-or-hang-pictures-in-my-room">Can I paint my room or hang pictures in my room?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">No alterations can be made to any residence hall room, which includes painting the room and placing nails in the walls. Students who wish to hang items within the residence hall rooms must use picture hanging strips that can be removed without damaging walls.</span></div></aside>

  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1407-if-my-belongings-are-damaged-lost-or-stolen-who">If my belongings are damaged, lost, or stolen, who will take care of replacing the items?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Emory & Henry College is not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen personal belongings. Although renters insurance is not required of our residential students, every student is highly encouraged to obtain renters insurance to cover the cost and replace damaged, lost, or stolen personal items.</span></div></aside>
  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1393-how-will-i-do-my-laundry">How will I do my laundry?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Laundry facilities are available to every residential student within the residence halls and the cost of laundry is factored into their housing fee. There is no need for coins.</span></div></aside>
  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1378-when-will-first-year-students-find-out-where-they">When will first-year students find out where they will live on campus?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Students who commit to Emory & Henry College and pay their deposit can find out their residence hall assignment as early as April. Specific room numbers and roommate assignments are finalized and announced in mid-July in order to accommodate students with disabilities and specific housing accommodation needs.</span><br/><b><br/><br/></b></div></aside>
  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/764-can-i-bring-my-own-bedfurniture">Can I bring my own bed/furniture?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer">No, students must use the furniture that is provided in the room. Each assigned space is fully furnished and residents may not bring extra personal furniture into their room/suite/apartment without written authorization from the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Housing & Residence Life or designee. By prohibiting personal furniture, such as couches, futons, chairs, bean bags, etc., Housing & Residence Life is able to lessen the likelihood of infestations, bacteria, and other issues from upholstered furniture.   • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1400-how-big-should-my-microfridge-and-microwave-be">How big should my microfridge and microwave be?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Microwaves must be UL approved and less than 1000 Watts. Microfridges must be UL approved and no larger than 4.6 cubic feet. Bring appliances outside of the restrictions have the potential to exceed the electrical capacity of the room/building, may frequently flip breakers, and damage the appliances.   • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/761-how-do-i-become-an-ra">How do I become an RA?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer">Students are eligible to apply to be an RA after living on-campus for at least one semester. Students must have a 2.5 or higher GPA. The RA selection process is a competitive process.   • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1394-what-is-included-in-a-meal-plan">What is included in a meal plan?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Meal plans are structured around the number of meals it is expected that a student will eat each semester within campus dining locations. First-year students are eligible for the 14 and the 19 meal plans. Each plan includes Flex Cash, which can be used to purchase additional meals and items from the campus convenience store located in the Martin-Brock Student Center, and GET Funds, which can be used at the Emory Mercantile & Bookstore and Macado’s. If so, what kind of pet can I have?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Currently, no pets are permitted in the residential facilities with the exception of fish contained in a tank equal to or less than ten (10) gallons (per apartment, suite, or room).</span></div></aside>
  • <aside class="faq-widget"><div class="faq-widget-question"><a href="/live/blurbs/1375-how-is-housing-assigned-for-first-year-students">How is housing assigned for first-year students?</a></div><div class="faq-widget-answer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">All incoming students who have committed to Emory & Henry College and paid their deposits will complete the Housing Agreement & Residence Life Data Form. The form will collect information about each student’s habits, interests, and needs to best assign campus housing and match compatible roommates. Students are assigned housing and notified about housing assignments via their Emory & Henry email address.</span></div></aside>
